Bone declared for the 2019 NBA Draft after his junior season at Tennessee. He was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 57th overall pick. Bone spent his rookie season with the Pistons' G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive. He averaged 16.1 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game in the G League.

Breakout Season

Bone made his NBA debut for the Pistons in the 2020-21 season. He quickly became a fan favorite with his energetic play and fearless attitude. Bone averaged 8.6 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game in his rookie season.

Bone had a breakout season in 2021-22, starting 55 games for the Pistons. He averaged 13.1 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game. Bone was named to the All-Rookie second team and was also named the Pistons' Most Improved Player.
